Tech Talk: A podcast is internet audio, usually in the form of an MP3 file. But it differs from regular streaming audio. Once your subscribe, it is automatically delivered to your portable audio player when new episodes are released– you don't have to click on a link to download it. You listen when you want – not when a program is scheduled. In effect, you are creating your own radio station by subscribing to the specific kind of content you want to listen to. It is the future of listening on demand. |
